Healix Insurance Services, the leading wholesale travel insurance broker, has reported a phenomenally successful performance for the year ended 31st March 2011.

Jessica Tubb, General Manager, Healix Insurance ServicesPart of the Healix Group, Healix Insurance Services has combined a unique knowledge and understanding of the travel insurance marketplace with the broader Group's medical and IT intellect, to deliver recession busting travel insurance results through an ever growing number of clients.

With annual revenues up by an impressive 32% on the previous year and premium income rising to in excess of £30 million, the success of Healix Insurance Services can, according to its General Manager, Jessica Tubb, be attributed to several key factors.

"Since the foundation of the business in 2006, we have developed a strong reputation built on our unique sector experience and the technical ability of our team. Coupled with a "can do" attitude, this has helped us to forge a number of key strategic partnerships with leading insurance retailers.

"Our clients have absolute confidence in us to secure the best products at the best possible price. We then strive to combine this with customer focus, quick response and a willingness to listen and understand the challenges facing our retail partners."

Working with industry leaders such as Holiday Extras, Rock Insurance, Collinson Group, CETA and Staysure, Healix's in-depth understanding of the market allows fast moving intermediaries such as these to maintain a laser customer focus whilst Healix takes care of all their product procurement needs.

Healix Insurance Services is also working with some of the brightest new stars in the market, developing innovative new products. For example, the company's unique understanding of medical risk and integrated medical underwriting systems means they were a perfect partner for new specialist impaired travel intermediary goodtogoinsurance.com. Equally effective in the mass market, financial services client Media Ingenuity could trust that their new Fluid retail brand would launch with prices capable of competing with the leading market peer group.

New capital partnerships with underwriters Mapfre and ACE during the past year have also contributed to the growth of the business. "The key thing about Healix Insurance Services is that it provides a unique conduit for us into the UK travel insurance space, enabling us to trade with a vast array of clients through a single point of contact", explained Leire Jimenez, Head of Travel (B2B) at Mapfre.

Her comments are echoed by Chris Price, Regional Director of Travel Insurance at ACE European Group, who believes that Healix's professional expertise, analysis and management of performance help ACE build successful relationships and business. "Healix is a great partner - they understand the DNA of the market and provide us with a valuable insight into their clients' requirements through the data analysis they provide, as well as being equally adept at managing the client/insurer relationship."

"Adopting our high-level consultative approach, we try really hard to understand what the client needs and how this relates to any prospective insurer. The number and scope of placements we undertake affords us an exceptional insight into insurers' current appetite for risk and this gives us the edge", continued Jessica Tubb.

"We have had a great year, working with some fantastic partners to the mutual benefit of our businesses. We are delighted that our services continue to add value to our clients and our goal now is to continue our growth whilst ensuring our core service values remain intact."
