The Best Companies Survey is measured on eight factors considered key to creating a great workplace: My Manager, Leadership, My Company, Personal Growth, My Team, Giving Something Back, Fair Deal and Wellbeing. Healix scored highest on My Company and Leadership, demonstrating our commitment to developing a positive work culture that gets the best out of our people.
In our 20th year, the Healix Group, (which includes Healix International, Healix Health Services, Healix Risk Rating and wholesale broker, Healix Insurance Services), currently employs over 120 people, with plans to grow the headcount by 20% over the next 12 months. Creating the most positive and engaging working environment for existing and future employees is, therefore, crucial as Paul Beven, Director, explained.
"Over the last two years, staff numbers at Healix have increased by two-thirds and, with plans to continue to develop our services and customer base, we know how important it is to compete with other employers, both in our local area and in the specialities in which we operate. Achieving Star Status in the Best Companies to Work For Survey is, therefore, really important to our business."
Compared to other companies who applied for accreditation, Healix's highest ranking factor was 'Giving Something Back'. This explores how much people think their organisation puts back into society and whether they believe this effort is driven by profit motives. In particular, Healix scored highest in this category for the statement: 'My organisation makes a positive difference to the world we live in'.
