For the 8th time in 9 years, Healix Health Services has been recognised by UK health insurance intermediaries as the ‘Best Healthcare Trust Provider’ in the prestigious annual Health Insurance Awards that took place in London on 17th October.
The trophy was presented to Keira Wallis, Head of Clinical Services and Sally Campbell, Head of Clinical Development by the host for the evening, Claudia Winkleman, in front of an audience of about 1,000 health insurance professionals.
A Healthcare Trust is an alternative way of funding healthcare benefits for employees. Instead of paying premiums to an insurance company, the money is placed in a healthcare trust fund which is used to fund claims. They offer many advantages over traditional private medical insurance including greater flexibility in scheme design and the fact that if claims fall below the estimated amount, the funds can be retained instead of being lost as additional profit to an insurer.
At Healix, we believe in a consultative approach to corporate healthcare, ensuring that we understand our clients’ objectives before designing health and wellbeing schemes bespoke to their needs, and enabling integrated provision across all their health related employee benefits, irrespective of who the providers are.
By tailoring benefits to our clients’ specific requirements and providing expert clinical insight and advice, we give them control over their health and wellbeing strategy, helping ensure the most effective use of their overall budget.
And with our nurse led approach to case management and clients’ employees at the centre of all we do, they can be sure of clinical and service excellence.
