Health checks

Making time for our health and wellbeing shouldn't be a luxury - it's essential. Through Healix Health, Workday employees can access a general health assessment or fertility assessment each scheme year, up to the value of £759.

Please note: The £759 allowance can be used towards one health or fertility assessment per scheme year. This benefit is available to employees only.

Health assessments

General health assessments involve a series of clinical tests, measurements and examinations. They build a clear picture of your current health and wellbeing and provide practical guidance on positive lifestyle changes to help you reach your goals.

Regular health checks can help identify early signs of issues such as:

  • Poor diet or nutrition
  • Obesity
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Psychological stress
  • Women’s and men’s health issues

They can also highlight concerns that may need further investigation, including:

  • High blood glucose
  • Poor kidney or liver function
  • Low calcium or protein levels
  • Poor posture or movement

Where medically necessary, results may lead to onward referral to a specialist or follow-up with your GP.

Accessing your benefit

Workmates are able to benefit from preferential rates with Bupa. The £759 per scheme year
benefit is available to employees only.

Step two

Contact Bupa on 0345 604 0612 to book the most appropriate assessment type for your needs at a location convenient to you.

Step 3

All invoices will be settled directly with your chosen provider, up to the value of £759 per scheme year.

Health Assessment Rates

Workmates receive up to £759 off Bupa Health Assessments.

Dependant Access

Your spouse/partner and eligible dependants will be able to access preferential rates, should
they wish to book and pay for their own assessments. In order to do this, they will need to call
0345 604 0612 and identify as a partner/dependant of a Workday employee.

Fertility Assessments

Through Healix Health in partnership with Hertility and Syrona, Workday is offering
reproductive health services for all Workmates who need to access them.

Hertility

Hertility specialise in helping women (and anyone assigned female at birth) to understand their hormones and fertility, with at-home fertility testing.

Syrona

Syrona help men (and anyone assigned male at birth) to understand their fertility with at home, and in clinic fertility testing.

For women and anyone assigned female at birth

Hertility specialise in helping women understand their hormones and fertility, with at-home testing. There are many causes of female infertility which Hertility can help to investigate, including issues with ovulation, poor egg count, structural problems in the uterus, and blocked fallopian tubes.

Dependant access: Your spouse/partner can access these preferential rates and pay for their own assessment. They will need to access the service online and enter discount code WORKDAY10.

    View available assessments online and review the options below.

  • Step two

    Use your Workday email address to register for your chosen package. You will be emailed a code to redeem your benefit.

  • Step three

    Any blood testing kits required will be sent within three working days, followed by a gynaecologist-written report.

Assessment options

Syrona

For men and anyone assigned male at birth

Syrona help men (and anyone assigned male at birth) to understand their fertility with at-home and in-clinic fertility testing. Their sperm health analysis can identify sperm count and warning signs of infertility, with fast referrals to vetted partner clinics for treatments where needed.

Dependant access: Your spouse/partner can access preferential rates and pay for their own assessment online using discount code SYRONA4WORKM8S.

  • Step one

    View the available assessments online to select your preferred package.

  • Step two

    Home testing: Register with your Workday email, add your name, date of birth and home address. The test is shipped directly to you. Clinic testing: click here to email and Syrona will locate your nearest clinic.

  • Step three

    If there are any observations, a urologist will collaborate with you to discuss them and consider potential next steps.
