At the beginning of April 2023, Tatia Goldstone received a stage four cancer diagnosis, which was a complete shock. Always fit and healthy, with no symptoms other than a lump, the diagnosis took her and her family by complete surprise.

The diagnosis of stage four cancer came without warning. Entering a world she knew nothing about, especially with no previous history of cancer in her family, Tatia was overwhelmed and uncertain about the future. Her treatment regimen, which included chemotherapy, brought with it a host of side effects that were challenging to manage on her own.

The Perci Health team provided comprehensive support and care to Tatia throughout her journey. A dedicated nurse from the team was appointed to support her, answer questions, and check in on her throughout her chemotherapy. Despite experiencing many side effects from the treatment, the Perci Health team was always available to offer consultations and appointments to help manage these issues.

With tumours in her spine, the physiotherapy provided by the team significantly helped alleviate her back pain. Another specialist within the team assisted with digestive system issues caused by chemotherapy, providing invaluable help.

The team also offered exceptional ongoing support with the side effects of her medication. They continually provided options and potential solutions to help Tatia manage these side effects, enabling her to work towards returning to her professional life. The support extended beyond medical issues; the team regularly checked in on her and provided indispensable advice and support, helping her understand her diagnosis and cope with the day-to-day challenges.
