Special Advisory: Paris 2024 Olympic Games

24.07.2024
France will host the 2024 Summer Olympics (33rd edition) between 26 July and 11 August.

With millions of travellers, athletes, organisers, volunteers and politicians expected to attend the Games across the two weeks, crowd control and the latent terrorism risk pose the most significant concerns for the local security forces.

The most severe disruption is expected in Paris and the wider Île-de-France region. The majority of events will be held in the capital and heightened security is almost certain.

Our comprehensive special advisory offers critical insights. Download the report for:

  • Detailed information of the opening ceremony, security perimeters and host city profiles
  • Analysis of security risks around the event, spanning terrorism, unrest and crime
  • Operational considerations, including public transport disruption, road closures and no-fly zones
