Putting the client first using GSA Global's assessment
Tetra Pak, a global leader in packaging solutions, approached Healix to help strengthen their travel risk management programme. While other firms offered to assess and address any gaps internally, Healix took a different approach, recommending an independent audit by a trusted partner to ensure an unbiased evaluation. This led to a comprehensive, ISO 31030-aligned programme that prioritises employee safety and duty of care.
Challenge
With over 20,000 employees worldwide, Tetra Pak identified gaps in their travel risk management processes, with various internal teams (such as IT and Global Benefits) operating independently. Recognising the need for a cohesive, company-wide strategy, Tetra Pak leadership tasked their Global Travel Security Manager to implement a comprehensive travel risk programme aligned with the ISO 31030 framework. To ensure objective insights, they sought an external assessment to identify weaknesses and provide actionable recommendations.
Approach
Instead of providing an in-house audit that might compromise impartiality, Healix recommended Tetra Pak pursue an assessment through GSA Global, a reputable third-party auditor. GSA Global conducted an expert and cost-effective, face-to-face audit, engaging key stakeholders and delivering a detailed report of findings. This objective audit allowed Tetra Pak to establish an internal working group focused on addressing the programme’s weaknesses and creating a unified travel risk management structure.
Outcome
By aligning with ISO 31030, Tetra Pak ensured improved employee safety, reduced incident risk and legal exposure of their executives, and fulfilled corporate governance and duty of care. Tetra Pak’s Global Travel Security Manager noted the benefit of Healix’s partnership with GSA Global, which offered specialised expertise and a trusted track record in travel risk management.
