Bringing together leaders in risk and security, we aimed to discuss a critical question: Is the world really becoming more dangerous?
The event marked the launch of our highly anticipated Risk Radar Report, a comprehensive analysis of the global risk landscape, identifying the trends and challenges shaping the future.
A huge thank you to all attendees who contributed to the thought-provoking conversation, and to our esteemed panellists; Healix Risk and Security Advisory Board members, General Sir Richard Shirreff, Dr John Lewis and Lorna Ward. They were joined by Whit Mason, CEO of Mason Change Communications and Associate Fellow at RUSI, together with Healix speakers Lucy Stone and Andrew Devereux.
The event opened with a presentation looking at how we define danger and if our perception of danger has become distorted. Against this backdrop, our panel explored how perceptions of risk influence reality - and the complex interplay between the two. Are we seeing a genuine escalation in global threats, or is it our perception of risk that’s evolving?
The panel also discussed the need for organisations to stay agile, think beyond conventional risk frameworks, and prepare for the unexpected. They reviewed the current geopolitical landscape, the impact of the US election results and how current conflicts and rising tensions are influencing global security priorities. As highlighted during the session, risks that seem peripheral today may become central tomorrow.
To hear more from us on this topic, we also encourage you to explore our newly released Risk Radar Report, which offers key takeaways and actionable insights to help organisations navigate an increasingly complex world.
For those who couldn’t attend the event, we'll leave you with this key takeaway:
