Men's Health Benefits
Healix has created a men's health benefit to offer support for men when it is needed most.
Early detection is important for successful treatment so we have made access as simple as possible for men to get the most out of the cover that is available to them. This service provides advice and guidance to men for health concerns including support for prostate disorders, and all sexual health concerns from fertility to erectile dysfunction.
Access to a virtual GP
You will have access to Teladoc Health, a 24/7 GP service where you can receive immediate advice and support for any health concerns. All of our GPs are able to help with common concerns and can provide advice, treatment and onward referral where necessary. This includes help with sexual health or fertility, which is usually excluded from any cover in private healthcare schemes.
The claims process
Men with male specific health concerns can also contact us via the claims helpline to speak with a nurse case manager for support and guidance. cover may include access to remote consultations and simple diagnostics with our in network men's health specialists. Please refer to your scheme guide for benefit limits that may apply.
Men who have been referred by their GP to see a specialist should contact Healix to open a claim. We will advise and guide on the cover and benefits available and direct members to carefully selected medical providers that are able to offer ongoing support and care. Our nurse case managers are available to provide support to members at any time.
Men who are concerned about a the early signs of prostate or testicular cancer do not need to see a GP in advance but can simply call the helpline for advice, guidance and quick onward referral to a specialist for investigations and diagnosis.
Men with pelvic health conditions, such as stress incontinence, can self-refer via the helpline and we will organise a telephone assessment and treatment with a pelvic health physiotherapist.
